Susana De' (Susanna Staber) was born near Rosenheim, Germany on February 23rd 1975. Susana became fascinated by music at the early age of 6.She first studied classical guitar at the University in Wuersburg, Germany, till she discovered her voice.

She auditioned successfully to become a Vocalist for the Federal Youth Jazz Orchestra. In 1998 Susana started her studies at the Royal Conservatory in Amsterdam, focusing on Jazz vocals. She received a bachelors degree in 2002. In 2003 Susana De' won the "National Netherlands Jazz Competition Award". She then received a Scholarship at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. Ms. D' has studied with Sheila Jordan, Barry Harris, Judy Niemack, Dianne Reeves and Mark Murphy.

Susana has performed around the world at many festivals and concerts including the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands, Jazz Festival Munster, Jazz Festival Regensburg Germany to name a few. Currently she is performing at various jazz venues in New York city and Europe.

The Artistry of Susana De' doesn't leap on the listener but pulls him or her in  note by note and feeling by feeling. Jazz Piano Legend Barry Harris described Susana's voice as "haunting, magical and beautiful" and Jazz Vocalist Sheila Jordan added "Susana is the complete artist both in terms of her arranging/composing abilities and her beautiful warm voice which fascinates every audience".

Susana has just completed a successful tour in Holland and Germany and has engagements in and around New York City being scheduled for her in 2006

Susana has a very mature personal style and her singing reflects a creative search for beauty. She has the ability to touch the emotions of the audience by using her own as a vessel for communication.

Susana is currently performing in New York City at various jazz clubs such as Smith's Jazz Club on Monday Nites, The Europa Club, Singers Series at various venues in Brooklyn and Long Island. She is also active in Germany and Holland with The Chris Hinze "Akar/Back On The Map Group".

She received her Master's Degree in 2004. Susana was also awarded The Claron McFadden Grammy Scholarship at Manhattan School of Music, NYC.
